Defibrillator price: how much does an AED cost in Latvia?

In Latvia a defibrillator (AED) costs roughly 1,200 to 2,300 euros excl. VAT, depending on the model and package. More important than the price of the device, however, is the total cost over its service life – and whether it will be ready the moment it is needed.

What affects the price of a defibrillator

  • Operating mode – an automatic AED delivers the shock by itself; with a semi-automatic one you press a button.
  • CPR feedback – a sensor measures the depth and rate of chest compressions and guides the rescuer.
  • Screen and prompts – a colour screen with animations or LED pictograms.
  • Package – bag, wall bracket or cabinet, signs and training.

Running costs – often overlooked

A defibrillator lasts for many years, so compare its running costs as well. Pads usually last 2–5 years and must be replaced after use; the battery lasts 4–6 years. For outdoor placement in the Latvian climate you need a heated cabinet.

  • Pads and batteries for all our models are available from stock.
  • We remind you about expiry dates, so you don't have to keep track yourself.
  • Compare the total cost over 8–10 years, not just the price of the device.
